The Golden Cups (???????????? Za G?ruden Kappusu?) were one of the top bands performing in Japan's Group Sounds scene in the late 1960s. Featuring singer Dave Hirao, guitarist Eddie Ban, and bassist Masayoshi "Mabo" Kabe, they played a bluesy style and made a number of hit singles, most notably, their reworking of the Leaves' song Hey Joe, which has appeared on several compilations.
