The Divys

The Divys are a Philadelphia-area synth-pop rock duo with retro new wave overtones. The name of the outfit was inspired by drag performer and character actor Divine. Guitarist Cliff Hritz and singer William Schrul formed the band in 2005 and released their debut album This Is What You Get the following year. The Divys got some exposure when their song ?Mirror Queen? was used as the theme song of the Philadelphia TV show In Bed With Butch, and in September 2006 they also were the winners of The John Lennon Songwriting Contest for ?Best Electronic Song? with "Freddie Are You Single.
