The Distortions are a post-punk/post-shoegaze group formed in January of 2004, in Los Angeles, California. The Distortions feature F on guitar, theremin, pedal steel & vocals, Michael Scott on bass and Ward Robinson on drums. Some of the bands musical influences range from: The Jesus and Mary Chain, My Bloody Valentine, The Verve, Doves, Galaxie 500, Love & Rockets, Spiritualized & Ride. Their debut album, "Exploding Teenage Body Part", was released in January of 2005.

In April of 2007, the band released their second album "Machines At Night" showcasing a much more refined and confident sound. The album has already heralded praise from critics and fans alike as one of the best albums of the year.
Shortly after the release of "Machines At Night", drummer Ward Robinson chose to leave the band to pursue other interests. They are currently looking for a new drummer with a following tour planned for the future.
