The Brokenmusicbox

The brokenmusicbox began as a collaboration between Tony Wentzel and Kimberly Contreras who met while working at The Annex Recording Studios in Menlo Park, California. With the help of a few talented musician friends they recorded and released their debut album ?Waking the Sound? in 2008. In 2009 they played their first show as a trio at the historical Red Vic in the Haight Ashbury. From that one performance they were able to recruit a bass player, drummer and keyboardist and in April 2010 played their first show at El Rio as a 6 piece.

Less then a year later in february 2011 they played the Noise Pop Festival. It was only natural that with a complete line up they began to work on new material. In October 2010 they returned the studio to begin recording their second album ?A Life Less Underground? due for release later this month.
