In 2008 Jeff Martin and Wayne P. Sheehy formed The Armada and soon after, Gareth Forsyth was named as their bass player. The Armada's debut tour started November 2008 in Peth, Australia and travelled around the country. They also launched their self-titled album, making it available at their shows. Track No. 5, Morocco became the first single from the album.


March 2009 saw Jay Cortez (ex. Sleepy Jackson & End of Fashion) become the replacement bassist.

The Armada are touring through Europe and Australia in 2009.
