There are at least 3 bands named Tetanus: 1.) aka ?????V? An industrial band from Croatia that formed in 2005 and released on Owlcave Records and Lopsprout! Records. 2.) A death metal band. 3.) Tetanus is a jam, thats the best way to sum it all up. And Ill dare to say this-Tetanus is the first band I have heard that really, truly makes the grunge sound of yesteryear come back to life. And if grunge isnt your bag, thats no problem, because Tetanus runs a triathlon. They do grunge, they do throwback rock n roll, and they do present day modern rock.

Its hard to fathom that this is Tetanus rookie record, because few bands with several albums under their belt would be able to rekindle multiple eras of rock as flawlessly as Tetanus have. Coming from the same hit making source that produced the likes of Saving Abel, 12 Stones, Three Doors Down, Sister Hazel and Saliva, Tetanus has emerged on the Memphis scene as the next rock band to watch.
Tetanus founder and lead singer Scott Hardin apprenticed under legendary rock producers Skidd Mills (Saving Abel, Skillet, Sister Hazel) and Paul Ebersold (Saliva, 3 Doors Down, Green River Ordinance) at their 747 Studios in Memphis TN, and has worked, sang, and played on records for the aforementioned bands along with many others as a studio engineer/musician. Through this experience, Hardin honed his skills as a songwriter, learning from some of the studios high profile clients as they created their own rock radio hits. He learned the importance of crafting good songs with strong hooks that connect with audiences. While immersed with nationally touring rock acts at the studio, late nights were reserved for writing and working up songs that would become Tetanus.
By 2007, bassist Grayson Grant joined Hardin in the writing of Tetanus 2008 debut LP, and quickly their songwriting chemistry was established. He was most notably a member of Big Ass Truck and Straight up Buzz as well as Civilian and Rabid Villain.
Scott and Grayson recruited some of Memphis best musicians to fill out the band- Elliott Ives added to the guitars while Teddy Thomas and Jeff Burch handled drum duties for the bands first release. Tetanus began turning heads as they brought the project out of the studio and onto the stage-providing a high energy live show full of rock goodness.
{This all-star line-up has come together to create a sound that draws on their individual experiences in a unique and effective way that just clicked in the words of their producer, Skidd Mills. Tetanus signed to Mills Skiddco Music in January of 2008 and quickly recorded what would become their self-titled debut release. Since then, the band has been gaining momentum and getting recognition outside of the city from industry entities such as William Morris Endeavor Entertainment. Currently, the group is preparing to tour with Puddle of Mudd and Saliva, who have tapped them to open up on dates during their 2009 fall tour.
