Sumrr? borns in the summer of 2001, as an outcome of a succession of meetings between the three members in several jam sessions. From day one, a natural way of joining, creating and playing appears, so it would be fair to say that Sumrr? borns from chance, spontaneity, caprice...Sumrr? borns free, and remains free. It was also a matter of chance to be christened as Sumrr? and not any other way. Sumrr? could be Manuel Guti?rrez Trio, Xacobe Mart?nez Grupo or Luis Alberto Rodr?guez Project, but it is Sumrr?: belonging to everyone and no one.
Sumrr? has a debut album in the market, recorded in 2002 and edited as a self-titled by the Compostelanean record label Madame Sir in 2003. In 2006, their sophomore work came out: ?2?. Sumrr? works basically with original material, which implies that the band is inmersed in a constant feedback creation process: from composition to performance, from this to that, from recording to live performance. Oftentimes, you have only to see how things grown by itself, without any necessary interference.
Sumrr? are Manuel Guti?rrez, piano, Xacobe Mart?nez, bass and L.A.R. Legido, drums.
