Summerlove

Summerlove is a cooperation between two dutch DJ's who first met in Spain in 2001. They decided to make their first song together in september of 2001. Dj Maurice and Dj Yorit had the idea of remaking ?Fiesta? from the Sunclub (a big european hit in the late '90s) and giving it english and spanish lyrics and an easy to sing chorus. This is how the song ?Remember? existed. After some delay (mainly because the videoclip took longer to make) the song was first released in august 2002, unfortunately this was too late for the song to be a ?summerhit?.

After some delay (mainly because the videoclip took longer to make) the song was first released in august 2002, unfortunately this was too late for the song to be a ?summerhit?.

Because the song was ?different?, slowly it became a well played song in the dutch clubs. After becoming more and more popular (it even was the most played partysong with carnival) The record company Dureco re-released ?Remember? in may 2003.

?Unfortunately? the belgian dj Frank, who also loved Remember, also decided to remake Fiesta, but with another acapella, this time from the R&B song ?Summerjam?. With the name ?The Underdog Project? he scored the european summerhit of 2003! Because the 2 songs looked alike, this was again a bad thing for Remember. Despite all this, the second time Remember was released, it still entered the dutch top 50 charts and was compiled on over 300.000 cd's (like Damn, De Apr?s Skihut, Gay top 100 en Door 't Lint). Remember was the tune for the dutch tv-show ?Door 't Lint?.

At this moment Remember is released in Turkye, Portugal and Greece (in Greece it's also in a tv commercial for a new drink) When time is right, other country's will be next to experience ?Remember?.

In 2003 Dj Yorit and Dj Maurice started working on the follow up. In july of 2004 ?Dance on the Beach? was released as the new single which is also a combination of a classic club track with a new melody. This new single is released by Partyhouse, the new record company from Dj Maurice. (In cooperation with White Villa Records and Digidance)

The first single was sung by Dj Yorit, but the follow up was sung by another dutch singer who will also perform in the Summerlove ?Live act?. At this moment we are preparing the act (complete with dansers) for we were asked to do some gigs in Greece and Cyprus.
