submodern

submodern was born deep in the computer science labs of Harvey Mudd College, a haven of nerds and oddballs. Honing their musical minds on such family favorites as Ween, Butthole Surfers, Aphex Twin, Autechre, and Tool, the duo began to produce first blips, then some bleeps, an occasional whirp... and then one day the dam broke and the waters of submodern began to flow. submodern is a collective of like minds, each one contributing musically and spiritually, fused into something that's enigmatically from the future yet still looking back to the golden era of electronica.

They have been performing together live for several years, playing at west coast venues varying from dance clubs to bars to private parties to the burning man festival.
