Guitar Annapurna's largely instrumental sound ranges from delicate ambient melodies to oppressive walls of noise, crushing monolithic riffs to tense driving soundscapes, sometimes brooding, sometimes biting ? all accompanied by a mesmerizing and powerful live show.

Annapurna's largely instrumental sound ranges from delicate ambient melodies to oppressive walls of noise, crushing monolithic riffs to tense driving soundscapes, sometimes brooding, sometimes biting ? all accompanied by a mesmerizing and powerful live show. Whilst drawing influences from many genres, Annapurna have received initial comparisons to Isis, Old Man Gloom, Oceansize and Godspeed You! Black Emperor ? setting the benchmark of music that the band aims to uphold.

The band formed in early 2010 and includes ex members from Arcane, SkyOnFire, Sorrowfall, Tapasia and This Is How It Ends (Dublin). Drawn together by a shared vision of ambition, progression and most importantly volume, they have quickly established a hard working ethic and determination, which even at this early stage in their existence is promising great things from the band. Although Belfast based, they have members hailing from Cookstown, Toome and the Ards Peninsula, connections and influence throughout Ireland and England mean they plan to spread their net far, fast.

I am a Leaf is a 12 minutes piece that opens up with massive Gybe influence and gradually shift on different paths reaching out to the likes of Ocensize, Old Man Gloom and Mogwai.
