Sterling Y

Sterling Y's made a great record with a modern sound, but to catch them live is to hear what it's all about. The Sterling in their name is no accident; the riffs and backbeat are hammered silver. Twin guitar arrangements tightly wound as Queen unwind with an Aerosmith punch to the gut. It's enough to say the lead vocals command an equal place at the table, and that's no easy task given the tight riffs and a backbeat that's heavy and supple at the same time like few bands this side of Zeppelin have ever been able to muster.
