Everyone is a Starving Millionaire. California reggae/rock trio Starving Millionaires joined 2005 after singer/guitarist Eric left his Hollywood dump to team up with Moon (drummer) who also left behind his Los Angeles lifestyle for San Jose, Ca, the heart of Silicon Valley. Trio soon finalized with Sid Slater, SM from Berkeley, Ca, who replaced the original bassist Joe Reghitto. The group released a self produced 5-track EP, 'First Ditch Effort", which attracted the attention of scenester union Long Beach Records.
Mudd, founder of Long Beach Record and drummer of legendary punk band the Falling Idols, immediately took interest and promoted the initial recordings on the Long Beach Records Fall Sampler (includes tracks from Slightly Stoopid and Kottonmouth Kings.) With fresh representation, the band hustled into the studio and compiled its first full length, 13-track LP, "Vegas Drive" which released internationally on Long Beach Records (US), LBR Europe, LBR Australia, and Global Cooling Records (Japan). Since the release, Starving Millionaires have graced hundreds of stages all over the US from Van's Warped Tour and Maverick's Surf Contest to the legendary Key Club and Big Easy Concert Halls with acts such as: Eek-A-Mouse, Barrington Levy, Me First and the Gimme Gimmes, Long Beach Shortbus, the Expendables, Mad Caddies, Insolence, Rebelution, and many more. Millionaires' unique blend of reggae, rock, hip hop, ska, and pop sounds landed on numerous compilations including Sense Boardwear Vol. 4 and wakeboarding videos.
