Stand-Up Guy

Based in Belfast, Northern Ireland, Stand-Up Guy were formed in 2000. ?Consisting of two guitarists, Ian Booth & Paul McClure, who both provide vocals, bassist Philip Donnelly and drummer Conor Mullan, S-UG's music has lead to comparisons of Will Haven, Neurosis and Deftones. The band released a first album 'In fixation, Conspire' in 2004 and in June 2007 they released their second album 'Avenue Unawares', both have been released on distortion project records On 5th October 2008 Paul McClure, founding member of Stand-Up Guy announced he had decided to leave the band.

On 5th October 2008 Paul McClure, founding member of Stand-Up Guy announced he had decided to leave the band.

Michael Ahern of Countervela has since joined on guitar whilst Francis McEldowney has joined as keyboard player/samples as Stand-up Guy continue to push their sound forward.
