Stan the Man (Stanislaw Wolarz) born in 1951, Edinburgh, Scotland. Started playing guitar & bass 1964, by 1966 playing in semi-pro soul and R&B bands. In 1968 he emerged from the local underground scene with The Earth and with the still-notorious Johnny Fats Trio. London mid-1970's: formed the Warp, a new wave band with strong R&B influences. Spent the 80's in semi-retirement from music, studying, working and traveling, including France 84/85, where he played with the Johnny Otis, Fats Domino and B.

Spent the 80's in semi-retirement from music, studying, working and traveling, including France 84/85, where he played with the Johnny Otis, Fats Domino and B.B. King bands, who all (without their main men) sat in on his beachside gig every night during the Nice jazz & blues festival.
Now firmly based in Prague, in addition to playing all over the Czech republic, making a number of radio and TV appearances, Stan has performed at clubs and festivals in Germany, Austria, Poland,Slovakia & most recently, Ireland and is widely regarded as being at the cutting edge of contemporary European blues.
