Ann Walton is a singer/songwriter/pianist based in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Her anticipated first album 'Top of the Hill' was released August 19, 2007 and is the result of two writing retreats. The first at a cabin in the woods of Wasagaming, Manitoba and the second in her brother's tiny Toronto apartment. 'Top of the Hill' was self produced and recorded during the winter and spring of 2007. It's obvious to the listener that Ann grew up listening to old jazz records - and maybe more obvious that she fell in love with folk music in her teens.

"Almost as if her concerts were time warps back to by-gone eras like the 30's, Walton's talented piano playing and songwriting are reminiscent of old, crackly jazz records as well as contemporaries like Rufus Wainwright." - nxne music festival 2007
"Hearing this album is as exciting as discovering Jane Siberry, Mary Margaret O'Hara or Veda Hille for the first time". ? John Kendle, Uptown Magazine
