Heavy, furious riffs, with melodic aggressive vocals, that will ring in your head like a bell. Split The Enemy was formed in 2002 by brothers Zach and Skyler Martin (guitar & drums), and Landon Wiggs (bass), after watching Zach & Skys Dad rehearse with his band in their home. Nick Charles (vocalist) joined in early 2003 and the band started playing cover songs at the local pizza parlor. Then, over the summer of 2003, the band started to write their own music and get comfortable with their own unique style.
It is that style that has very quickly gained Split The Enemy a large & ever growing fan base for their original material. Split The Enemy quickly gained a reputation around their respective schools as the band to see. In late 2004 they started pre-production with ex-KEDJ disc jockey & producer Michael Beck (Lost in Suburbia, Scary Hairy) of SoundVision Recording & soon after hit the studio to start recording their debut release. They put out 2 songs from the release on a cd sampler & promptly sold 600 copies in 3 weeks. About that same time, the disc also made it into the hands of KUPD's Larry Mac. The response to his playing a track on his Red Radio Underground show was so overwhelming that the follow up show (Into The Pit with Marcus Meng) has also played it & received the same response. Since that time, the band has enjoyed airplay on both shows and occasionaly on The Edge. They also have multiple articles from Various newspapers around the valley.
