Spiny Norman

Spiny Norman is the alter ego of Hope I Die Virgin Keyboard-player Jon Eriksen from Oslo, Norway. On Sketches Of Pain he combines the playfulness of techno music with the experimentalism of progressive rock. Spinys love for music shines through in the hectic combinations of different styles and textures, and the music lives in colourful landscape where detailed rhythmic patterns meet lively joyful melodies sometimes bordering on the naive.

Across the milky tracks is the follow-up to 2007?s Sketches of pain. The songs were made last summer in Milkytracker using samples from a Roland SH-09 analog synthesizer, some samples from a Roland Juno-6 and TR 808 & 909 drums. The result is a joyful chippy warm-sounding melodyfeast for your ears and a screaming green homage to the kings of red for your eyes.
