As a brand new artist, the origins of Clay T. Smith and Bill Hayes are not widely known or publicised. It appears they've sprung from nowhere, very likely following a long career somewhere else but in the shadows away from public gaze. Their one and only self named album released in 2007 proudly announces their experience, skill and something more ? a magic! Their songs are lovingly crafted and meticulously composed, with undoubted homage to the Beatles, Badfinger, David Grahame and Emitt Rhodes.
