The band's leader, guitarist Radomir Mihailovi? To?ak is considered one of the greatest and most influential guitarists on the former Yugoslav rock scene.

Formed in 1971 by the guitarist Radomir Mihajlovi? To?ak and drummer Dejan Stojanovi? Kepa, the band did not get a default lineup until 1975 by which time bassist Zoran Milanovi?, vocalist Boris Aran?elovi? and keyboard player Laza Ristovski consisted the official band membership. However, after recording their eponymous debut album, Ristovski left the band and the remaining quartet recorded their subsequent albums with various keyboard players before disbanding in 1981. After brief reunions in the period between 1986 and 1992, the band was reformed by the two founding members with younger musicians, vocalist Dejan Najdanovi? "Najda", the second drummer Dejan Stojanovi? Kepa Jr., second guitarist Milan Milosavljevi? Mikica and bassist Vlada Samard?i?. During the late 1990, the latter was replaced by the bassist Slobodan Markovi? Sale who performed with the band until 2002 when Smak disbanded once again. In 2010, the lineup Radomir Mihajlovi? To?ak (guitar), Dejan Najdanovi? Najda (vocals), Slobodan Stojanovi? Kepa (drums), Milan Milosavljevi? Mikica (guitar), Dejan Stojanovi? Kepa Jr. (drums) and Milo? Petrovi? ?omi (bass) reunited and started writing new material. From summer until autumn of the same year, the band had written four new songs one of which, Delfin[track] (The Dolphin) was premiered on the band's official YouTube channel.

Their music has always been rhythmically and harmonically advanced.
Interesting points about their compositions include the abundant use of odd rhythms, vocal improvisations (scat singing), lengthy improvisations from all of the musicians, and uniquely-styled lyrics using mostly very short words due to the relative difficulty of using complex Serbian words in singing.
Many of the lyrics were written by bohemian-minded poets and artists who were in friendly relations with the band.


2. Smak (pronounced 'smak') is a rock group from Helsinki, Finland, who performs their songs in Finnish, but have said they might do English material in the future. The group was formed in December 2001, and their debut album Sic Transit was released December 10th, 2004. The singles off that album, [track artist=Smak]Myrsky, Hallanvaara and Nousen have been played alot on Finnish radio stations. The group also put out a music DVD called "...Gloria Mundi" in October, 2005. 5th April, 2006 Smak put out a new single "Teen mit? teen", which climbed to the Finnish single chart's number one almost instantly. Smak also performs YleX's (Finnish radiostation) summer's 2006 "Kes?kumibiisin" , called Antaa Palaa Vaan. Their sophomore album, "Elohopeaa", was released September 29th, 2006.
