Musical arrangements are alternately aggressive and melodic. Composed primarily by Josh Feinstein of Angry Lamb Studios in St. Louis, MO, each track is different from the next, often challenging the boundaries of conventional structure and style.

St. Louis native Mary Elizabeth Bell has been performing throughout most of her life. With a solid background in dance and theatre, she began singing in front of captive audiences in 2001. Sinfinis is her first original musical endeavor. Having written lyrics and melodies since she was a child but never before unleashing them on the public, M.E. set out to make an album. She recruited several independent artists for the project (including her husband, Matthew J. Bell, who co-wrote the lyrics for ?my Strange Birthday?), which eventually culminated in the release of the 6-song EP, The Edge of a Knife, a collection of eerily thought-provoking songs designed to unnerve and chill even the most hotly-seared conscience.

To produce the album, Mary Elizabeth worked chiefly with composer / engineer / programmer / producer Josh Feinstein. The founder and owner of Angry Lamb Studios, Josh has worked with some of the best producers and engineers in the industry, including Andrew Wyatt and Tony Maserati. Josh created the musical arrangements for five of the six songs on The Edge of a Knife, in addition to playing bass and guitar. He also performed vocals for ?Perfect Surface" and "Legion."

Josh enlisted the help of drummer Julian Eubanks to perform the percussion tracks for "The Beast," "Perfect Surface," and "Puppets." Julian currently works with other artists in the St. Louis area and has recorded and toured with such acts as genre-bending Pinkeye d'Gekko and country singer/songwriter Candy Coburn.

At the album's inception, Mary Elizabeth worked with Landon DeHetre and engineer Brian Swiech to compose the music for and record ?Repeat Offender.? Tom Brogan contributed to the creative process and performed piano and bass on the track. Brian's mix of the song was very close to completion when a catastrophe forced F.M. Studios in Novi, Michigan to shut down. A new version (which incorporates much of the original) was produced at Angry Lamb for inclusion on the EP.

Since the debut EP's release in July 2007, Sinfinis has not only acquired a loyal and quickly-growing base of supporters, but has also garnered the attention of local press (STL Sound Magazine featured the EP in its May 2008 issue) and independent radio stations such as iChannel (which named the single ?my Strange Birthday? as one of their Top Songs for 2007).

Sinfinis continues to evolve, sometimes hitting the stage "Bare" for an acoustic, a cappella, avant-garde adventure, performing stripped-down versions with unique instrumentation and ethereal harmonies, sometimes going more heavily electronic for a grittier, more industrial sound. Always expect something unexpected.
