There are at least two artists by the name "Sindri". 1: Sindri is a Norwegian singer/songwriter from Oslo. His music can perhaps best be described as a cross between Jeff Buckley, Tool and Seigmen. 2: Sindri was born Sandra Castillo in a hut made of palms in the island of Cuba. She first heard music in her mother's womb for 9 months, ?everyday there was radioplay.? Exiled thereafter, Sandra began to play the keys, sing, dance and rollerskate to the classic 808 bass dance style in her exile community of Miami.

The alias Sindri came to life when she began to dj and produce her original songs in 2001.
In a short period of time Sindri played numerous shows in the U.S., Europe and Japan. Sindri says "djing and performing provokes an electric shock where time and space become stagnant, I become one with the music and the dancefloor, grounded to the same voltage.? Sindri is quoted in an article about Intuit-Solar WMC 2001. Sindri was a featured DJ representing Beta Bodega Coalition at Club Madonna's opening up for DJ Assault, DJ Godfather, and Detroit Grand Pubahs. Sindri is on the cover of Street Magazine March 1-7 2002, and was interviewed in The Miami Herald "Electro Magnates" November 25, 2001. Sindri was host of the electronic dance show for the University of Miami radio station WVUM 90.5 which brought in various labels and artists from around the globe to do live performances and interviews.
Sindri released her first 7" "Seduisant Lollipop,? hitting "Single of the Week" by British distributor, Boomkat. With other releases on various labels: Imputor [Seattle], Angstprod [France], and now Star Recordings [New York], Sindri infuses her original erotic ghetto bop tracks with sensual live vocals, a smooth r-n-b flow, and slow-jam bouncy beats where sour moments become sugar sweet.
Sindri produced songs with felons and juveniles in various projects at correctional/rehabilitative facilities in California for the last few years. Currently residing back in her hometown of Miami 2007, Sindri's latest E.P. ?Bout to Hit da Bloc? is now available on Itunes and select stores.
