Shanks and the Dreamers is the musical counterpart to American Independent Filmmaker Amir Motlagh. Having spent his childhood and teenage days surviving the Iran Iraq war, leading a break-dance crew, watching French New Wave movie marathons, and enduring the Los Angeles rave scene, there was no stone unturned except for music. Enlisting the help of Art Toussi after the first solo record "A Day Late: Instrumentals for Illegal Aliens" was released, they embarked on the path of sonic evolution and birthed Shank's first full length album, "my darling dia".

Along with the aforementioned, the duo recorded the soundtracks for the films, "knock. knock.", "Plain Us", and Mr Motlagh's feature film debut, "Whale".
What's next is anybodies guess, but I can say with some certainty that a new album is subtly in the works.
