The American band Shallow formed in the mid 90's and were from Lawrence, KS. They created a unique brand of swirling dreampop, characterized by the haunting voice of singer/guitarist Julie Shields. They recorded several EPs as well as three full albums. There was also another band who released an album under the moniker of Shallow called '16 Sunsets in 24 Hours' who were a Psych-stoner band from the UK. Hailing from Stoke, England, Shallow (UK) ceased to exist in 2000, however some years later they resurfaced under the guise of 'The Last Drop' to record a 2nd album 'Where were you living a year from now'.
