"Setapart have an inviting brand of Alternative rock that fits right in with the melodic parts of Alexisonfire, Beloved and The Almost. What shines through on YOU HAVE EVERYTHING YOU NEED is their commitment to the music, how its crafted beautifully, well thought out and passionate. In a scene that's full of beatdown hardcore (fun as it is), this is something different that fits right into the genre. Melodic vocals soar high above the mix, and tell stories, personal battles and the group's faith in Jesus Christ. These guys sound like they mean it with flowing and textured music, check them out now!"...

...[Setapart] played a brand of music where indie rock meets melodic hardcore. Among their influences they listed were Jimmy Eat World, Cain's Mark and Beloved. However, the songs are upbeat for this genre and come with clear melodic vocals. "Hold Your Breath" features some memorable lines, "Losing the surface, hide my eyes and listen to these sounds/These harmonies you've put within me/These secrets - you've given them only to me.. It gives me goose-pimples whenever I listen to "Imagine This Is You" with the lines "But this I promise you Father/I will fight this fight until the end/I will not lose my sight of you." The guys are keen to keep the local music scene alive and that is reflected in The Hope Collective (www. myspace.com/hopecollective which they are involved in. Now that Setapart are basically finished, they are helping to put on gigs to showcase Christian bands whenever they can.
