Serpent Underground

Serpent Underground formed in early 2002. The result was creativity and vision encircled in a macabre and sinister musical theme. Serpent Underground formed with Ralph (Lead Singer/Song Writer) and Bryan (Guitar). After a few months of song writing, the two decided the time had come to bring in a drummer--enter Rich. In 2003, the trio began recording their first demo, "Spread the Warning." The result was creativity and vision. The lyrics embodied the thoughts and desires of each member.

Many live shows would follow, recently including ?Gothstock? in Hartford, CT in 2005 and a very memorable performance at the ?Whisky a Go-Go? in Hollywood in July 2004.Recently Serpent Underground performed one hell of a night on 6-6-6 at the whiskey.. The band played to over 500 screaming fans, and was interviewed by HMTV (Hollywood Music Television)

In September of 2004, Serpent Underground finished recording their second demo, "Hail the Dawn". The demo consists of the songs ?Caroline?, ?Tangled?, and ?Hail the Dawn?. The "Hail the Dawn" demo unleashes a fury of wicked Industrial/Metal rhythms and soul piercing vocals. The "Hail the Dawn" demo shows the diversity of its member's influences, as well as the infectious melodies and emotion provoking lyrics that tempt the masses.

Since its release, the New ?Devils of Flesh? CD has received an overwhelmingly positive response. It has been remixed and is available and released to the public. The song ?Caroline? has been featured five times on the KCXX 103.9FM ?Local Band Spotlight? feature (San Bernardino, CA). The song ?Hail the Dawn? has been featured on the WLFC 88.3FM ?The Foundry? radio show (Findlay, Ohio). All three songs from the demo -- ?Caroline?, ?Tangled?, and ?Hail the Dawn? have been on rotation on the Internet radio station ?Metal Faction? (www.metalfaction.com). Plays on the internet have grown to over 100,000 and over 60,000+ on myspace.com alone. (www.myspace.com/serpentunderground). Our www.serpentunderground.com mailing list has over 2,500 members, and our myspace.com friends and fans have grown to over 14,000+.

Serpent Underground recently acquired a new bassist, Tony ?The BoNe". Bone has added a new driving force to the band -- and live shows have never sounded better. The band is currently making its' mark in the new music scene, playing more and more live shows around southern California and nationwide, on a regular basis. Serpent Underground has finished in the studio working with Steve Weatherbee (SEPULTURA, P.O.D., etc.) recording their newest CD, entitled ?DEVILS OF FLESH?. The album has just been released and is available at CDBaby.com,towerrecords.com and other retail outlets! (*see journal page) It features thought provoking lyrics, hypnotic keyboards, and heart pounding rhythms. The album will feature a hot new version of ?Caroline? and the addition of ?The BoNe? on bass guitars, and a previously unreleased song ?Someday Soul?!
