Born and raised in southeast Texas, Scottie began playing the guitar when he was nine. He grew up in a rough environment and turned it all around. He has a great career and happy marriage. He played professionally for years travelling with the band Snapshot, playing rock, pop, and country. He lived in Nashville for a year to study writing and pursue a music career. After deciding to leave Nashville and return to Louisiana where he developed his musical abilities further. He continued to play in public for another fifteen years.
Then after relocating to Houston, and learning about the Love of God through Jesus Christ, he decided to write music about his faith. Because of his love for 70's and 80's rock, he wanted to honor those artists and write in the same style, while still sharing answers to some of the deeper questions about life. This music does exactly that, and there's still influence from all the many popular artists from the last four decades of pop, rock and even country music...
