Salman Gambarov

Salman Gambarov is azeri jazz musician. He was born in 18.04.1959 in Baku, Azerbaijan. In 1983 he graduated Baku State Conservatory in musicologist speciality and in 1990 compositon speciality. From 1992 he is the head of Estrada department in Baku Musical College. From 1998 he teaches in Baku Musical Academy. In 1996 was created "Bakustik Jazz".Musicians promote different jazz styles: from post-bop to ethno-jazz. Salman Gambarov was one of the members. "Bakustik jazz" has participated in different international festivals.

In his music he compromises minimalist and ethnic elements. He participated in several projects with musicians of different styles of music as mugham and pop.
