Sai was born in the culturally diverse city of Los Angeles, California and at an early age found himself surrounded by music and creativity. By age14 he began to take an interest in playing the guitar and was introduced to guitar music by his mom who played classical guitar. Sai started playing with sounds on the acoustic guitar and then after owning his first electric guitar he became fascinated with the array of sounds that electric guitars and amps could produce.
In 2004 Sai stumbled on the music scene in Wilmington North Carolina and began sharing his written songs in coffee shops and live music venues.
That same year, Sai began writing and recording "Missing Faces" which he produced with Brett Ekstrom. "Missing Faces" later became his first single, and it was used as a fund raiser for a local missing persons center called CUE for Missing Persons. Since then he has gone on to perform solo and with his band, The Getaway Drivers which he put together in 2004. The band has been involved by using their music to raise awareness for AIDS, poverty, environmental issues as well as to support youth music and art programs. The band has journeyed over the years sharing music in numerous venues and with acclaimed artists such as Sister Hazel, John Butler Trio and Tim Reynolds
