Ryan Garfi is the young and talented vocalist who is currently on tour with the Glen Miller Orchestra. Fascinated by music of all types, Ryan knew from a young age that this was to be his life's calling. Ryan Garfi grew up singing music through numerous venues, the first of which began at the tender age of three in his church's choir. At the age of eleven Ryan was recruited into a band known as The CHORDuroys that would forever impact his musical development and direction.
Ryan Garfi grew up singing music through numerous venues, the first of which began at the tender age of three in his church's choir. At the age of eleven Ryan was recruited into a band known as The CHORDuroys that would forever impact his musical development and direction. The CHORDuroys were a trio of young male vocalists backed by musical director, arranger, producer Michael Berkley that specialized in recreating the sounds and styles of the 1950's and 60's. Through this outlet Ryan gained an even greater appreciation of music from that era as well as the art of being a stage performer. By the group's final show in January 2005 in London, England, they had not only made a relative name for themselves, but also had been given experience in the musical arena that few of their age achieve.
After two years at James Madison University concentrating on the business arena, Ryan refocused his career on music and was accepted into the Glenn Miller Orchestra in February, 2007. Ryan is eternally grateful for this opportunity to perform with this prestigious group of musicians, and hopes to follow in the footsteps of decades of male vocalists that have sang in front of The World Famous Glenn Miller Orchestra.
