Roberto Santucci

born in Cagliari on 6 October 1956, he started his musical studies at the Conservatorio di Musica in Cagliari, taking a diplom in principal piano under the guidance of Maestro Orio Buccellato. Then he specialized at Salzburg's Mozarteum. In 1986 he was invited at the Festival of Antwerp, in Belgium and on 1987, at the Concert season of Hong Kong. Now he gives Concerts and teaches music and piano in Cagliari. His first Cd, with original pieces for piano, has been entitled ?Tramonto rosa?.

His music has been repeatedly used in many television programmes on "Videolina and Sardegna Uno", TV stations. He recorded music for RAI and, recently, newspapers such as Corriere della Sera, Il Messaggero, and other national and regional newspapers wrote about him. The second Cd, ?La leggenda di Ophelia?, written and set to music by Santucci himself, will be the subject of a short tv film. It has been played in national premi?re at ?Teatro Sette? in Rome, in Torre delle Stelle (Cagliari-Italy), in various theatres in Sardinia and all out of Italy. In January 2004, in Bruxelles (European premi?re). On March 4th 2004 Roberto Santucci played in Rome to open the exhibition of the painter and sculptor Anna Izzo. Another Recital at the Riga's Festival, in Latvia, on September 10th 2004. He was the only Italian pianist composer invited to that Music Festival. He played in Calcata (Viterbo, near Rome)) on November 13th 2004 and in Rome on December 24th 2005, January 1th and 2th 2006. Recently he created the soundtrack for a documentary about Villasimius, a village on the west coast of Sardinia and his first single cd, ?Notturno Romano?. On April 8th 2003, and 13th March 2006 he have recorded for RAI. In October he was invited by Canale 5 TV station, as a guest in the talk show ?Maurizio Costanzo show?. Another his Recital, on March 13th 2006, at the Cagliari's Auditorium, for the Rotary Club International, has been transmitted by RAI and other television stations. Another Recital was in Cagliari's Auditorium(Italy), in March 4th 2006, for the Rotary Club International. Successively, he have played in Concerts in August 2006, at Antwerp (Belgium); in September 2006 in Rome at ?Teatro Sette?. On November 1th 2006 he had recorded 2 Music Videos for the Television, "Notturno Romano" and "Verde Profondo". On December 2006, the Swedish Fothography Leyf Sylvan, released two DVDs, for the foundation of 350? Anniversary of Ankarsrums (Stoccolm), utilizending his Music, as Soundtrack for this fotography Reportage.The last but one exibition was in January 27th 2007, at the wonderful medieval country of Calcata(VT), where he have presented, on national trade show, his new Cd album "Atlantide Sommersa". The last performace was on live Programm Television on SKY, where was as host, on 2007 May 7th.
