Rob Giles is a singer, multi-instrumentalist, and an award-winning lyricist. Rob has quickly become a stand out performer in the Hollywood music scene, but has also performed as a voice over artist for TV and radio, acted in a series of shorts written and directed by Christopher Guest (Spinal Tap, Best in Show), has composed and performed a theme song for a network television show and supervised an award winning film.
His songs have also been heard on the hit TV shows Grey's Anatomy, Brothers & Sisters, One Tree Hill, Laguna Beach, and many others. He has rubbed creative elbows with artists such as Willie Nelson, The Dixie Chicks, Collective Soul, Harry Shearer, The Wallflowers, Patty Griffin and more.
Rob Giles has been busy making brilliant records for himself since he was 16 years old and most recently released his album ?This Is All In Your Mind? with Sony/ATV. It has been hailed by critics across the country. Currently, Rob is finishing recording his next album ?My Crooked Heart?. He spends his days producing albums for other artists such as Nina Storey, Tim Fagan, Famachine, Kina Grannis, Laura Jansen, Lisa Donnelly, Astrid, the Leland Grant Band, and many others. Rob also works as a music therapist and is a creator and founder of a production company which is responsible for creating and producing children's educational musical videos.
"When We Were Happy", his first solo album since 2006, was released on February 21, 2012. This is the release of some of the songs originally intended for "My Crooked Heart" in an updated and revised form, along with some other newer material. The CD release show was held on February 24 at Hotel Cafe.
