Reism are an industrial melodic metal band based in Norway. They draw influence from bands such as Celldweller, The Birthday Massacre and Nightwish. Formed in 2005 whilst studying at Paul McCartney's Institute for Performing Arts (LIPA) in England, the band have been building a fan base via their online presence and gigging throughout England and Norway. They are a band very much taking the initiative to do everything themselves, from recording and distribution to promotion and booking.

Reism have just completed their second self released album ?Something Darker?. This shows a real progression as the band have come into their own, building on their previous strengths and developing their style.
Reism's songs focus on the darker side of life. They're primarily about the betrayals and cruelty of love that mankind inflicts against its own. The interplay of live and electronic instrumentation blends and shifts between synthetic and organic sounds, satisfying fans of both metal and industrial music.
Over the past year Reism have taken part in both the local Wacken Metal Battle and Emergenza band Competitions, reaching the Norwegian semifinals in the latter. The band have also just completed a self organised tour with dates in both England and Norway. Through these gigs Reism have become renowned for their high-energy live performances, drawing large, mixed crowds through their appeal to fans of a wide range of genres.
Band members include Kirsten J?rgensen (25), Vocals, from Norway who graduated Performing Arts at LIPA, Tom Poole-Kerr (27), Guitars & programming, from England who graduated Sound Technology at LIPA and received the Sennheiser award of achievement for his work on Reism's first album, and Frode Sjo (23), Drums, from Norway.

?Tight as the screws in Frankenstein's neck. Somewhere slightly similar to Evanescence in line up and Within Temptation for theatrics, Reism have something that most others bands don't, they're intriguing.? ?AJJ - Glasswork.co.uk
?It's dark, it's sexy, with an energetic thirst that keeps you engaged. This isn't background music. This is brilliantly sequenced, moody and dynamic.? ?SA - Devolution Magazine #15
?Reism blew me away! They look like a well-oiled V8, pounding along the motorway at 9,000 rpm's. The mixture of powerful drumming, menacing guitars, dark synth lines and Kirsten's angelic vocals create a maelstrom of chaotic, yet well orchestrated fury. I thoroughly enjoyed this gig and can't wait or more.?
Paul Reay - Digital Noise Magazine #23
