Red Light Go were a retro 80s pop band who flared briefly but brightly in the mid 2000s. Based in Bath, they commanded a small but loyal fan base mainly comprised of members of their own families. Their sound was a heady mix of synth and guitars, with snarling vocals provided by the visionary street poet Andy Madison. They argued a lot about what to wear on stage. The intense white heat of creativity proved too much for some, and subsequently they experienced many line-up changes before finally being decommissioned in late 2007.
Red Light Go were over almost before they began, but those who saw them in their pomp speak of the experience in awed tones.
