"Herz zerrissen" ("torn heart") paints
sounds with a wide spectrum from
dreamy ("Die Suche"/the search) to
fast forward
("Erinnerungsfetzen"/fractions of
memory). Old school analog sounds
and pleasant waveguitars are mixed
with the electronic sound of the new
millenium. While some tracks remind
one of Welle:Erdball or Derriere Le
Miroir, the various remixes sound like
Massive Attack or Portishead. The core of the album are poetical german lyrics of a
rare quality.
If Anne Clark would sing in german with And One as her band, if she'd be pure
New Wave and if Robert Smith would play guitar in this imaginary all-star-band,
