Imagine poet Sylvia Plath with a whisper-to-whale pitch perfect voice backed with a 5 piece prog-folk-rock gathering of intellectual music geniuses (or so they think). Tell Hunter S. Thompson to move over and give that girl a guitar! Rachele Eve discovered herself while healing a broken leg. Bedridden, her talent emerged as she cozied up with the guitar for the first time, easing the pain through music.
Rachele Eve discovered herself while healing a broken leg. Bedridden, her talent emerged as she cozied up with the guitar for the first time, easing the pain through music. Soon enough her new found love and talent lead to new found success in her homey Michigan town of Plymouth. Pursuing exposure and independence, in 2006 she headed to The Windy City to form what would become the likes of Rachele Eve.
The Chicago based band now consists of Rachele Eve (vocals, acoustic guitar); Nikolai Giefer (drums, percussion); Packy Lundholm (electric guitar); Kate Drown (clarinet); and Nick Miller (bass).
Rachele has so far released 2 Ep's and currently has gotten much praise for her latest and first full length album "Mouth of Feathers." Completely independently produced, the album has distinct and unabridged instrumentation with aspects of a modern rock coupled with vintage jazz, colored with distorted guitars, toy piano, an accordion cameo, Wurlitzer, Hammond B-3 organ, clarinet, and cello. It's brave in parts and meek in others, bringing about the entire spectrum of human emotion. Produced by legendary John Snyder at the equally famous Dockside Studio in Maurice LA, this records sweats with talent and will likely become a part of your top fav's list. Start to finish its worth a more than a few listens.
