Quilty

There are two artists with the name Quilty. 1) Brooklyn-based rock trio Quilty records "jams composed with moptops and bags under the eyes and a warm heart for 90's rock radio" (Ampeater Review) featuring ?monolithic guitars?drums crunchy and overdriven, the guitars a dense sludge of indie-post-indie-rawk, yet still floating widely around Sadie's sardonic vocals" (AWMusic.ca). Current roster features Sarah "Sadie" Dupuis (guitar), Julian Fader (drums) and Chuck Wilson (trombass). First album can be streamed on last.fm or purchased at shows.

2) From Sweden, Quilty play traditional Irish music with a strong personal touch. Whirling jigs, reels, hornpipes and polkas and songs of love, emigration and adventures are interwoven to create a colourful concert with many surprising and exciting musical experiences.
The group has existed since 1993 and are one of the few professional music groups in Sweden to specialize in Irish traditional music. Over the years they have toured extensively and have played at music caf?s, schools, concert halls, festivals and pubs all over Sweden.

Quilty also do concerts together with choirs, workshops of Irish music for choir singers, music teachers, etc, and perform concerts together with symphony orchestras.
