Michael Corin (lead vox, guitar), Nate Fry (bass), Rob Petrie (lead guitar) and Ben Phillips (drums) first took the stage as Anavox in 1999 at His Cup, a band venue/youth center in the basement of First Covenant church in Rockford, IL. Four years and an unprecedented seven RAMI (Rockford Area Music Industry) Awards later, Anavox became known as one of Rockford's premier Christian Rock bands and travelled across the country, from South Carolina to South Dakota; from Georgia to Iowa.
Unfortunately, after a few line-up changes, Anavox threw in the microphone and played their last show in Harvard, IL late summer of 2003. Michael Corin would move to Nashville, TN to launch his solo career, soon to be joined by his good friend, Nate Fry. Miraculously, in 2006, Michael and Nate decided to reform Anavox, and with the help of fellow Mid-westerner, Ben Dennen, they began to tour again under the AV banner.
Today, Anavox is composed of Michael and Nate as well as newcomers Dave Peterson (lead guitar), and Tony Clucas (drums). Currently, they are touring all across the country, spreading their message of hope and salvation through Christ Jesus. They have shared the stage with many acts such as Audio Adrenaline, Kutless, Mercy Me, Switchfoot, Michael Tait as well as many others.
