Peter Webster grew up in a small seaside town on the south coast of England. He first picked up a guitar at the age of twelve and has been hooked ever since. He has been writing songs for almost as long as he's been playing guitar. Inspired initially by the Beatles, his musical influences include Joni Mitchell, Paul Simon, Steely Dan, Nic Jones, British folk music in general, 70s new wave, various flavours of Americana and latin.
After gaining a degree in English literature from a northern university, Peter moved back to Sussex and later emigrated to the snowy wastes of Bedfordshire, where he formed the Peter Webster band. He plays with the band at festivals and dedicated music venues, and also performs solo at folk and acoustic music clubs. Footprints, which you can buy at the i-Tunes store, is his first album of original material. He is happily married with two not very small children and is trying hard not to become a clich?.
