Peter Corvaia began his career by DJ'ing at the age of 17. But to him DJ'ing did not seem exciting enough because he was only playing other peoples music. Within a year he began buying equipment to put a very modest studio together in his dorm room at Bloomsburg University in PA. He spent more of his time working on music than worrying about classes, so it only seemed appropriate to find another form of education to better suite his passion. After taking some time off from school, he decided to enroll at SAE Institute of Technology in New York City for his degree in Audio Engineering.
After graduating from SAE he started with with the company Charles Morrow Productions (Charles Morrow Associates at the time) as its studio engineer. There he worked with unconventional forms of audio and experimented with multi-channel recording and playback systems. The company's trademark is its 8.1 channel Sound Cube that can create 3D sound environments that include a Z axis from vertical sound movement. Also, during his time there, he had the opportunity to work with world renown sound artists such as Stephen Vitiello and Martyn Ware. Eventually Peter would move back to Pennsylvania to take a break and decide where he wanted to go next with his passion for sound.
