With head-nodding, booty-shaking melodies and beats, and Sly Stone-esque crooning, these self-styled "white punks on funk" wear their Miami roots on their sleeves, brandishing Latin rhythms and electronic noise. They've built a loyal and ever-growing group of fans up and down the East Coast and their tunes have hit the airwaves, being charted on college stations as far flung as the Pacific Northwest and Europe.
Vocalist Edward "Sexy Eddie" Prendergast has himself become somewhat of a local landmark in the New Haven area, having been subject to graffiti campaigns which alternately saw the slogan "Not Pren" appearing on street corners all over the city or, better yet, posters of Eddie's visage wearing star shaped shades, ? la Bootsy Collins, bearing the words "roll deep" - a reference to, allegedly, Eddie's drunken claims to have coined the phrase.
