Biographies:
1. Ornament is collaboration between artists Australian Joe Creighton & Simon Polinski. Previous works of these artists yielded Creighton's classic album"Holywell" and more recently "Falling Again" & Polinski's Hesius Dome [album]The Age of Steam[/album] and [album]Farewll Waltz[/album] releases on PSY-HARMONICS. This their debut album, bleu, is a lush sensory overload of deep intelligent ambient music that ebbs and flows with emotion, taking you to new places that are yet all so familiar, displaying a maturitity in their production making it an ideal listening treat for yesterday, today and tomorrow.
2. Ornament is a solo electronica/indie/folktronica music project based in the West Midlands, UK. More information at http://www.myspace.com/ornamentronica
3. Ornament is the solo project of Davide del Col (one components of the Echran band, co-produced by ebriarecords and smallvoices!) and is active from 1999 with four pubblications on Oktagon rec., Blade rec., Benneka records, and the most famous Afe rec.
4. Ornament was a one-off collaboration between The Afghan Whigs (Greg Dulli, Rick McCollum, John Curley, and Steve Earle) and Marcy Mays of Columbus' Scrawl. Their 1991 single is a version of The Afghan Whigs' "Tonight" that's different than the one released on 1992's "Congregation" and a cover of Carole King's "Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow?"
5. Ornament is a Hamburg/ Germany based indierock band, founded by former Tenfold Loadstar- musician Felix Wiesner, who also runs a solo-projekt called 'die singende krake' (the singing octopus).
The music is influenced by classic singer-songwriters and darkwavy electronic acts, Bob Dylan, Interpol, Neil Young, Elliot Smith, Depeche Mode, Palace Music, The Cure, The Notwist, to name a few. Felix likes to refer to his music as ' a sound-painted caspar david friedrich'.
