Baltimore, MD based O'Malley's March formed in 1988 and used to play Celtic rock in hometown Baltimore, Washington, DC, Philadelphia and Pittsburgh, PA and had a tour in Ireland. The lead vocalist/songwriter is Martin O'Malley, the current governor of the State of Maryland. The band stopped playing gigs, as Martin O'Malley is busy running the state of Maryland, but they play once a year at the Irish Festival in Baltimore, MD.
Current members of the group include Martin O'Malley on acoustic guitar, Bodhran, and tin whistle, Jared Denhard on Harp, Highland Bagpipes and Trombone, Jim Eagen plays the electric and string violin, Sean McComiskey plays the button accordion; Ralph Reinoldi plays electric guitar and mandolin, Jamie Wilson is on the drums and plays percussion, and Pete Miller plays bass.
