Upon release of her self-produced debut effort, Under the Skin, ALDEN put together a 5-piece band and quickly made herself a fixture in Los Angeles' highly competitive live music scene.
After a few years of extensive live presence, she found herself back in the studio writing custom tracks for both major and independent films including ?What Died? licensed to Sony Pictures for its top-grossing horror film ?The Fog? and ?It's a Party? used in its entirety as the opening credit song for Ariel Vromen's independent film ?Rx (Simple Lies).?
Recently, ALDEN has gained international exposure through a series of television commercial licensing deals with AUDI, Peugeot, and Harley Davidson. These spots have aired extensively throughout Europe and Asia, prompting Warner Music Taiwan to feature one of ALDEN's tracks (?So Beautiful? listed as ?Not Looking Back?) on their TV, Drama, and Movie HITS compilation CD.
After a legal battle lasting nearly a year and a half, ALDEN was able to reclaim full rights to several of her songs, which were being licensed illegally under alternate titles. In 2009, she re-released these tracks on the Lost Into Experience EP.
ALDEN is currently in her bedroom studio writing and recording more original material she describes as ?something between Nina Simone and Trent Reznor.? Fans can expect more licensing deals and another new release later in 2009.
