Amidst the ever-growing Bay Area hip-hop community, DJ/producer deedot (Melina Jones, Public Radio) & emcee Kazwell joined to birth Nate Krooks. Both deedot & Kazwell have been building on their respective crafts for the past decade. Aiming to take listeners back to the original essence of hip-hop, their music has been described as reminiscent of hip-hop's golden days past. Deedot's soul, funk, & jazz laced production provide the perfect sonic backdrop for Kazwell's ecumenical lyricism through precise, declarative delivery.

The duo grabs inspiration from seminal artists such as 9th Wonder, Pete Rock, NaS, & Ghostface - the listener may hear these influences yet note a style that is uniquely Nate Krooks.
