Formed in 2004 in Quebec City, Canada, Naked Gun launched its first demo, Breaking The Odds, in 2006. A year later, the band participated in the 2nd Skin Rock Contest, the biggest battle of the bands in the province. Naked Gun reached the finals, and established themselves as one of the most promising live acts in the region. In 2008, the foursome went back in the studio to record their first French-language single, Je Me Souviens, a song about the loss of the Quebec Nordiques franchise, its cultural impact, and hope for a return.
The single made its way to local radio airwaves and gained major attention from both media and music fans.
N.G. strikes back in 2010 with a new EP titled Payback Time, recorded in Montreal under the supervision of Jef Fortin (Anonymus). Jef is best known for his aggressive, powerful metal productions. ?We wanted Jef to work with us on the album, although our band is far from being metal.? The band says. ?We were looking for someone to capture our sound, which is raw and in your face. We knew that we would get that with Jef, and a lot more.?
