Musique Noire

Musique Noire, an acoustic world fusion ensemble, was formed in 2005. The group's members, who reside in Detroit and Chicago, are veteran players nationally and internationally. Members include: Michelle May, violin Leslie Deshazor Adams, viola, Leah Lucas, viola and violin, and JoVia Armstrong, percussion. Their debut CD, "Good Hair" was released in October of 2008. The group are 2009 and 2010 Detroit Music Awards Nominees ("Outstanding Jazz Recording" and "Outstanding World/Reggae Group").
