It would appear there are two artists with the name Morphy. 1. Morphy is a Glasgow based producer who has been smashing up the scene for years now. His style of dubby basslines and rolling breaks are always met with great approval from the raving masses. He made his debut on Urban Takeover with the heavy roller "Cheb MkII" in 2002 which was followed up with the belly-dance workout "Trans Egypt Express" and the rave style "Warehouse".

In 2004 he unleashed the monstrous "Bottoms Up" on Direct Recordings which gained him some big recognition as a producer who was able to do his own thing musically while still keeping a dancefloor rocking.
2006 and Morphy has dropped two dub monsters on the net label Exegene which are available to download at http://www.archive.org/details/exegene

2. Morphy is also a Singaporean ambient electronic folk band based in Singapore and Brighton, UK. Formed in 2001. Their debut album "Pink Ashes" was released in 2004. They have recently released their second album "Just like breathing" in 2010.
