Milka

Debuting publicly in June 2001 to the tune of a sold out, self-promoted CD Release party in Orlando, MILKA quickly generated a buzz as loud as their music. With bilingual singer/songwriter front girl Milkanette Ramos, drummer Jeff McAlear, bassist Dave Wade, and guitarists Dan Manata and Nick Utter, this solid yet energized band has the unique gift to mesmerize the audience with their captivating live shows.

With less than a couple of years in the public eye, they've attracted product sponsorships and coveted spots as opening support for national and international performers. In recent history the band has played at hotspots such as in Hawaii, The Virgin Islands, all over the East and West coasts and big gigs like the Orlando Stop of the 2003 Vans Warped Tour and WJRR's second stage at EDBD XI and XIII. In Spring of 2006 they toured Puerto Rico opening for a major Latin band ?La Secta Allstar' and the show was brought back to Orlando a few months later to a sold out crowd at the House of Blues.

Big Shot Music, run by Deryle Hughes and Chris Short, is fully supportive of MILKA's original style and only want to enhance the talent of this collective group. Big Shot Music embraces their bilingual flexibility and they will be diving headfirst into the Latin market. Once the new album is mixed, pressed and named, it will be released early 2007 with national and international distribution through the BMG Music Group. The plan is to then send MILKA across the pond to rock Portugal, Spain and the surrounding Mediterranean Sea before they return to the United States for a national tour. The band is very excited to sign with Big Shot Music and is looking forward to a great partnership.
