Messianic Heart is comprised of the husband and wife ministry team of Lamuel (Keith) and Zamariah (Evelyn) Jackson. The couple currently reside in Washington, DC with their three daughters, Autumn, Summer, and Winter who they home school. Lamuel hails from Inman, SC. Zamariah is a native Washingtonian and they have spent the majority of their years in and around the nation's capital. The Jackson's are in fellowship at Ahavat Yeshua Messianic Jewish Congregation of Washington, DC where they serve as part of the congregational worship team.
Lamuel and Zamariah have been actively involved within the Messianic movement for a number of years now, and have dedicated their lives to serving Elohim (God) and His people as Messianic believers.
Lamuel (Keith) Jackson is a Messianic Gentile who considers himself a proselyte to Messiah. Lamuel works in the field of communication, specifically radio. Many Christian radio listeners in the Washington region may remember listening to ?KJ in the mid-day? on WAVA 105.1FM where he was hired as the Mid-Day Host fresh out of broadcasting school. It was a position that afforded him the opportunity to work with Janet Parshall and Allen Keyes on their rather high profile radio talk shows. Lamuel has an enthusiastic love of music, and a real willingness to seek after God's truth. After years of seeking an expression of fellowship that more reflected biblical example for the community of believers, he saw in the Messianic movement what had eluded him for so long, relationship and connectedness to Israel and her people.
Zamariah (Evelyn) is a Messianic Jew who has worked in the accounting field throughout her professional career, but music, with an emphasis on songwriting, has been her passion from a young age. Trained on piano in her early years, she has worked to include guitar and bass to her repertoire in recent years. She is the director of all things musical for Messianic Heart. Zamariah initially pursued music as a career in the secular world while living in California. When she received Yeshua and dedicated her life to Him, the Lord brought her through a time of orientation and study during which He caused her to put music completely aside, no writing, no recording, and her equipment, she sold. After being led to Ahavat Yeshua, a Messianic Jewish assembly, the Lord began to allow the musical well-spring to bubble and flow again, this time with the life giving waters of Yeshua. Zamariah grew up without the benefit of knowing about her Jewish heritage. It was something that the Lord waited to reveal until after she came to Him for salvation, and by His hand was placed within a Messianic assembly that could grow her in the things of God and her heritage. Now she sings the praises of her Kinsman Redeemer, Messiah Yeshua, the Mighty One of Israel.
Together, Lamuel and Zamariah are a living reflection of God's heart to have Jew and Gentile become one in Messiah.
