Mephymology

Mephymology merge pop/folk sensibilities with rock energy and intensity, crafting songs with a delicate hand and delivering passionate live performances. Forming early on in 2005, Mephymology have toured the South Island twice, the North Island once and played at numerous festivals including Samstock Music Festival, Parachute and the Parihaka International Peace Festival. In September 2005 the band released 'Mephymology 101' and on the 16th of September 2006, its follow-up 'Mephymology 102'.

That same night that they became the first Dunedin band in 30 years to headline a show at Dunedin's Regent Theatre. After returning from The Great Mephymology Summer Tour 06/07, Mephymology took a break from gigging and spent the early months of 2007 working on new material for their third EP, 'Mephymology 103', which was released on the 21st of July at the Fortune Theatre in Dunedin.
